WHO WE ARE

Primary Purpose Center is a 501(c)3 formed in December 2014 and opened it's doors on November 16th, 2016. We provide level 2 & level 3 supportive recovery housing to individuals in Lorain County with substance use disorder at no cost to the resident.  We have 88 beds across three locations in Lorain County for individuals looking for a safe & structured recovery experience. Our level 3 60-day program consists of 7+ hours of programming Monday - Friday including off-site IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), 12 step groups, peer support, and religious services.  We provide all meals with a full time cook (120+ a day), all the residents basic needs (hygiene, washer/ dryer + detergent), and clothes if needed. In 2023, 369 residents entered our level 3 program, 70% successfully completed the program, 49% transitioned to level 2, the average length of stay was 4.6 months, and less than 1% relapsed in our level 3 program.  We're the only recovery housing organization accredited by ORH & CARF in the state holding us to the highest standards for a safe & structured resident experience.
