WHO WE ARE
Primary Purpose Center is a 501(c)3 formed in December 2014 and opened its doors on November 17th, 2016. We provide level 2 & level 3 supportive recovery housing to individuals in Lorain County with substance use disorder at no cost to the resident.
We have 88 beds across three locations in Lorain County for individuals looking for a safe & structured recovery experience. Our level 3 60-day program consists of 7+ hours of programming Monday - Friday including off-site IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), 12 step groups, peer recovery support, and religious services.
We provide all meals with a full time cook (120+ a day), all the residents basic needs (hygiene, washer/ dryer + detergent), tubes & tobacco, and clothes if needed.
In 2024, 316 residents entered our level 3 program, 55% successfully completed the level 3 program, 60% transitioned to level 2, 80% of the level 2 residents successfully complete the program, the average length of stay was 4.6 months, over 43% of the residents have at least 1 year sober, and less than 1% relapsed in our level 3 program. We're the only recovery housing organization accredited by ORH & CARF in the state holding us to the highest standards for a safe & structured resident experience.
